This was a spectacular project that taught me many valuable lessons. To begin, I learned the importance of trying again. I had many technical problems in the first few days that I was filming, and I got discouraged quickly. In one instance I was having problems with my SD card and capturing my images. In the moment, there was nothing that I could do. However, I decided to drive home, grab a new card and go back. I then got the best interview that I have ever captured. I was so proud of my subject and myself for trying again and creating something beautiful. I was inspired by what Abigail had to say about the world and the importance that engineering and innovation has. In addition, I have enjoyed this project because I was able to better understand an activity at our school that does not get much exposure. The people that I talked to were all amazingly nice and intelligent and I had a wonderful time getting shots and interviews with them. Overall I am proud of myself and my execution of camera skills, interview questions, and editing because I believe that I created my best project yet. I had so much fun with this video and I am looking forward to creating more this year! To watch click here.
